Gulfood 2010 was one of the largest and most important industry events to take place in the Dubai between 21-24 February 2010. The 15th Gulf Food Hotel and Equipment Exhibition and Salon Culinaire was a strategic platform for buyers and sellers to conduct direct business face to face. The exhibition was a showcase for manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers from around the world, representing all of the key sectors within the food and hospitality trade.
In this edition of Gulfood, CMC took part along-with its sister companies, CAPEX, Watania Plastic and WAPER. The response received was promising especially from the Middle East and the African continent. We can conclude that the Food segment is growing at a fast pace.

The Gulfood is the region's largest and most important industry event of the year and a strategic platform for buyers and sellers to conduct direct business face to face. The exhibition is a showcase for manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers from around the world, representing all of the key sectors within the food and hospitality trade.
The 2009 event registered 3,300 companies from 76 countries took part in Gulfood and the Restaurant & Café Middle East showcasing the latest offerings.
Gulfood 2009 attracted 45,489 visitors from over 152 countries at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) and at Airport Expo Dubai (AED), recorded an outstanding 16 percent increase in visitor attendance while most importantly maintaining exceptional buyer quality.
Al-Watania For Conatiners Mfg. (CMC) participated in the 14th edition of Gulfood in 2009 alongwith its sister company CAPEX. The quality of visitors at the Stand was exceptional. There is tremendous scope in the manufacture of food products and consequently the growth in its packaging.

CMC alongwith its sister companies, Watania Plastic and WAPER shared a 60 sq. mtr Stand under the Watania For Industries umbrella. at the Saudi PPPP, 2009 Exhibition. The show attracted a good number of companies in the printing & packaging, the plastic and petrochemical industries.
The show generated several new enquiries for Food, Lubricants and Paint cans from around the GCC. One of the high points for us at the exhibition was when Mr.Ahmed Al-Rajhi accompanied the Hon. Minister of Industries of Saudi Arabia to our stand. (please see the pictures).
